The cod fillet in mustard sauce is highly recommended. The service is courteous and attentive. We were satisfied. The mussels were nothing special. The next time I would choose a different dish from the menu.

Wonderful! The dishes are not cheap, but of excellent quality. Even in the current Corona situation, you can spend a pleasant time here, we had a sheltered place under the large umbrella in the outside area. The razor clams were delicious, as were the French-style mussels. I particularly enjoyed Joachim's attention and friendly service! We will definitely come back on the next vacation.

The food was delicious. The service is nice and friendly. It happened relatively quickly. A table had to be ordered beforehand. A tent is set up. There are tables both inside and outside to sit on.

A real disappointment with a cheeky finish! We were really looking forward to a nice portion of mussels, unfortunately we were very disappointed. That was not always so! The mussels were uncomfortably sandy, so they weren't cleaned. Besides, we both had quite a few large stones in the brew. Since we both work in the upscale gastronomy, we love to cook a pot of mussels ourselves and know about the quality. The reaction from the service staff was basically no. We thought this was a shame. My wife came a few minutes later earlier and wasn't asked for a drink. For almost € 50 with 2 servings of mussels, you can expect the service staff to have this in mind. He replied: "You only ordered the beer from me". When paying we refrained from tipping because we wanted a different reaction. The crowning glory at the end: after we had wished for a nice evening, only the snotty answer came: "With what? Without a tip? Very funny!" In all honesty, that is not only unprofessional, but also extremely embarrassing! Only bad. Too bad. We won't come any more.

Quaint, down-to-earth, more maritime is not possible. Friendly to friendly service and a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately we were full, otherwise we would have liked to try the mussels. It smelled really tasty and looked great.

A special kind of feel-good atmosphere, great location with tasty dishes that are well interpreted! Attentive hosts. Special praise to the service employee Jens, who is in a good mood and contributes to the good mood! The excellent wine selection not only pleases the connoisseur, but also helps to make the unfortunately not that good musical entertainment more bearable. 3 bipeds and 8 paws will be happy to come back !!!

The food was good, the champagne here is Ruinart. Unfortunately, despite the many free tables, the placement took far too long and did not seem structured, as many guests ignore the queue and sit down wildly.

This bistro deserves an exclusive name. A win for Hörnum and the wine and food on offer is top class. The service is particularly worth mentioning. Jens, a Berliner, contributed significantly to the 5 stars. Jens, we hope to find you in the same place again next year. See you next year, bye and stay healthy. Achim and Petra

We were ignored for 30 minutes after the reception. The soup and salad were good. We got the wrong wine and the clams were unflavoured and sandy. The high point of our break was that we didn't tip enough. Which we were told very clearly by the waiter. Unfortunately it was a lost evening.

Service 0 stars. We were simply ignored at the entrance for 10 minutes. The employees walk past you and don't say a word, no hello and not even any information about why you're standing around as ordered and not picked up. The behavior was a cheek. I won't leave my money there anymore in the future.

An authentic but "upscale fish stall" with a playful interior, delicious fish dishes and nice service staff. However, what irritated us was dealing with the "Corona rules", which I admittedly do not currently know for Sylt. E.g. the staff -indoor- no masks on. However, there were large Plexiglas panels between the tables to separate them. But that shouldn't detract from the otherwise good impression. A recommendation for fish lovers! In addition, it should be mentioned that card payment is / was not possible.

Never again!!! Unfriendly and unprofessional! Yesterday in Hörnum: Fancy some fish, off to the Sylt mussel? Bad idea! To make sure that everything works out - in Corona times, a table reservation is of particular importance - I went to Sylt Muschel myself in the afternoon to make a reservation. A waiter, who obviously felt called to do better, initially left me on the left and occupied himself with apparently more important things. Incidentally, without mouth and nose protection. After a few minutes he let himself down and took the reservation for 8 p.m., noted it down including my cell phone number (I told him that after he had grumbled at me “Number!”). When we arrived punctually at 8 p.m., a line was already waiting in front of the shop, everything inside was full. A slightly nervous looking person without a mask with a piece of paper ran around mumbling to himself. After standing around for a few minutes, we spoke to him and asked where our table was. He stammered something about colleague and mistake and left us standing again. This went on a few more times, and he kept saying that the table would be free soon, and cheerfully asked other people, whom he evidently knew, to come inside from behind the queue. At 8:20 p.m. he babbled that they had probably made a mistake and that there was no table. No apologies or regrets, just unprofessionalism covered over by arrogance. Conclusion: total no go charging. Pseudo-chic, unfriendly. Out of the question for any guest who expects even a minimum of service.

I usually hold back on negative reviews. Gastronomy is not always easy. In this case it is not an evaluation but a warning. If you want to spoil your stay on Sylt, you have the best chance to make your wish come true. The first impression was a funny popup concept at a small harbor. Everything seems improvised and somehow cobbled together. That's how Seckler (Zanzibar) started back then. So no prejudice. But now everything positive that I have to say ends. What is immediately noticeable is that there are no restaurateurs working here. We had made a personal reservation at 5 p.m. on site and received a table for 4 people for 8 p.m. At 7:50 p.m. we and other guests are in line due to the corona. No problem. Now it's getting ugly. The master of the house does not greet his guests but holds court. With that he is covering up that he and his team are hopelessly overwhelmed. He has a reservation list in hand that looks like painting by numbers to the inclined observer. So everything has to slip. The interior is full and all seats are taken. It's cool and at 8:10 p.m. I ask the retraining student with his list of crackles in hand when we will get our table. His answer: It’s about to start. Yes, and after another 10 minutes I was annoyed, like a mockery of the Baccarat "Sorry I'm a Lady". And that was the last opportunity for the "Maitre des Horrors" to de-escalate. Missed chance and arrogance and arrogance are still the mainspring of the usher. Long story short: Nobody from the long queue came in despite the reservation. Resume: You can eat fish very well anywhere on Sylt, but I don't need the Sylt mussel for that. If I want better service with more courtesy, I can order a FishMac from McDonalds in Westerland. For the sake of good order, although I'm not so interested: All corona rules are disregarded and the entire staff is not wearing any masks. I did not see any disinfectants and distances were not observed.

25 € for a serving of French-style mussels with fennel, creme fraiche and pernod. The mussels average quality. At the next table there was a quail egg-sized stone in the mussels, which the waiter only smiled at. I still had the Pernod taste in my mouth for two days. Prices completely excessive for a bistro without a toilet.

A listless waiter who, after a long wait, cannot make a reservation because the boss has just taken the book with him. However, we kindly ask you to make a reservation. Don't have to. Too bad.

When we made the reservation, we asked if there was a Knieper. This was promised. Unfortunately we were very disappointed when ordering. Took something else that was very good. Conclusion: food good, service good and administration not informed

Anyone who is willing to shell out EUR 23 for a portion of mussels in the high season will be happy here. There is nothing wrong with the quality. But those are the consequences when a "clam shack" becomes "hip". It's a shame - the craftsmanship of mussels is limited ...

Visited the eatery based on a recommendation and was massively disappointed. When we took a seat in the "interior" we were the only guests. We ordered two glasses of wine and one mussel. Drinks came immediately, unfortunately not food. After about 30 minutes the waiter came and said that the food would come right away. In the meantime, the interior was also well attended. When about 20 minutes later guests who came clearly after us received their mussels in front of us (apparently close to the waiter) we paid for the wine and left. The waiter tried to talk his way out with flimsy justifications - extremely unprofessional behavior.

I didn't like that! The inlay in the soup seemed to be thawed haddock with skin, and the rest was not good either. The taste of the vegetable broth, unfortunately the nicely cut vegetables can no longer help. I only give the 2⭐️ for the nice service and the cold wine. Not to be recommended for eating.

Excellent place. Quick and fresh. The mussels were really tasty, the fish pan-grilled in olive oil with a touch of lemon. One star off for payment in cash only. Otherwise highly recommended and a nice difference to the otherwise breaded and deep fried same-old, same-old places around...
